Organised labour has suspended its nationwide protests, which commenced on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, to register its grievance in opposition to the insurance policies of President Bola Tinubu.
The President of the Commerce Union Congress (TUC), Mr Festus Osifo, confirmed the suspension of the motion in an interview with Come up Information on Thursday morning.
He stated the leaders of the a number of labour unions, who had a gathering with Mr Tinubu on Wednesday evening, have been assured by the President that the problems raised could be addressed.
He defined the suspension of the demonstrations was based mostly on the reassurance by the Nigerian president.
