MEXICO CITY (Reuters) -U.S. labor officers on Friday requested Mexico to research alleged employee rights abuses at a Grupo Mexico mine within the central state of Zacatecas, the eleventh U.S. labor criticism in Mexico below a 2020 commerce pact.

The U.S. request follows a petition from a Mexican union, Los Mineros, together with two main U.S. labor organizations, the AFL-CIO and the United Steelworkers.

The teams alleged Grupo Mexico resumed operations at its San Martin lead, zinc and mine whilst a strike was in place.
